Venezuela Travel Advisory On October 14, 2026

FCDO now advises against all travel to Amazonas state and to within 40km (25 miles) of the border with Colombia. FCDO continues to advise against all travel to the Orinoco Mining Arc (‘Arco Minero’) region to the south of the Orinoco river, and within 40km (25 miles) of the border Brazil and Guyana . FCDO advises against all but essential travel to the remaining areas of Venezuela including Zulia state, Maracaibo and the eastern shore of Lake Maracaibo ('Warnings and insurance' page).
