The town of S’Algar is nestled in the south-east corner of Menorca, next to Punta Prima on the map. It was one of the first purpose-built resorts on the Balearic Island, but, despite being an old-timer, it’s managed to retain its sleepy, fishing village roots.

The beach is small but walkable along the coastal path from S'Algar. There is a bus to Punta Prima which is quite a walk although I have done it many times from Alcaufar around the coastal path again, where the beach is large and you have many more facilities including shops, restaurants etc.
