Vanuatu Travel Advisory On December 5, 2018
Summary- On December 5, 2018, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck off the east coast of New Caledonia. A tsunami warning is in effect for the region including the southern islands of Vanuatu (Taefa Province) with reports of waves up to 3 metres. The Ni-Vanuatun authorities are advising an immediate evacuation from coastal areas to higher grounds and you should remain there until the local authorities give the all clear. British Nationals are advised to monitor local media and to listen to all radio outlets for the latest information from the local authorities.
