Latest Update: Summary – there have been reports of severe civil unrest, protests and violence in a number of areas in the Ethiopian Somali Regional State, including the cities of Jijiga and Dhegahbur. The situation is still developing but anyone intending to travel either to the Ethiopian Somali Regional State or to the nearby cities of Dire Dawa or Harar should reconsider and take local advice.
